This is a summary of what Wacky Andrew will be arguing, not a representation of what real Andrew believes.Utilitarianism says that we should always act to maximize happiness and pleasure while minimizing pain and suffering, and we should count every person equally in doing so in an effort to maximize the good for all people.

~This theory results, by definition, in the happiest people.

~There are no incompatible duties on this theory. Your job is to take and my job is to give.
~Sometimes the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
~Helps us resolve very difficult cases especially some kinds of moral dilemmas where it seems that people are going to have to be hurt no matter what we do.
Majority rule is a utilitarian concept.
