In response to the NY Times Editorial:
Is it not a possibility that Putin, rather than acting on an embarassing integration into NATO, has always had in him a desire to resurrect Soviet Russia? The majority of that man's life has been centered around the promotion and defense of communism and socialism as an ideal and a way of life. As former KGB, it seems more than possible that his frame of mind, ambition, and allegiance to ideals has remained all these years, waiting for the right time to be revived...
