2PM Quote

“The only graceful way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can’t ignore it, top it; if you can’t top it, laugh at it; if you can’t laugh at it, it’s probably deserved.”

Essayist Russell Lynes

As true and funny and even charming as this is, it gets almost everything wrong. The Christian responds to an insult by first checking to see if it might be true and laughing at it. Topping it is never an issue. Ignoring it might be the right choice, depending. But most of all, because our value comes from God choosing us and loving us, we don’t mind our flaws being exposed, and we even consider it a great service.
