2PM New app calculates nutrition from photo of your food.

This must be the single most brilliant application of technology to solve a demand and problem that I’ve seen recently. You use the iPhone app to take a picture of your food, and it will return to you a calculation of the calories, fat, vitamins, etc. so you can decide how to eat it or if to eat it. Also, you can use it to keep track of your eating online in a kind of diet journal for accountability or just to know what you’re doing with your mouth. Brilliant! It’s so hard to tell what’s in food and this solves that problem with something like facial recognition software, I guess. I don’t have an iPhone, and I’m not dieting anymore, but this is genius.
