Above: Berkman before HR 2 In a game that was really over before I even arrived (my show doesn’t end until 7:00 and for reasons that pass understanding, local weekday games start at 6:40 instead of the otherwise universal norm of 7:10, but all petty whining aside…). Nevertheless, it was great fun for the boys to meet Baxter (always a thrill) and to watch my Cards brutalize the D-Backs behind our worst starting pitcher. It’s great to see the bats finally coming to life (two games in a row now), and I was able to see not just one but Lance Berkman’s first TWO home runs as a Cardinal in the same game. So much fun! See you at the game tonight.
