Theological Tuesday
We routinely refer to Jesus as our Savior, but it recently occurred to me that many Christians may not even know what they mean by calling Him that. And if Christians aren’t sure, then it’s pretty likely that non-Christians aren’t either. This has serious implications for our evangelism if our goal is to get people to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. To wit, shouldn’t they know what one is before we try getting them to accept Jesus as theirs? How much of the problems we have in discipleship might be tied to this? From what are they being saved? Is it only hell?
