3PM All-you-can-throw-away sushi?

A California man recently sued an all-you-can-eat sushi shop because he claims to have suffered “humiliation, embarrassment, and mental anguish,” when they charged him a la carte prices for his sushi lunch. The reason? He refused to eat the rice and only ate the raw fish, which the owner claimed was a violation of the terms since the fish is obviously the most expensive ingredient. This would have been easy for the patron, David Martin, to avoid if only he had asked in advance if this would be a problem or if he could pay more to eat it his way. In essence, being a little bit less presumptive and selfish could have solved this whole mess. But the fact that he’s outraged is amazing since what he did was in essence to keep filling up plates of food at a buffet and throw away 80% of what he took, demanding the right to keep doing so.
