Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has a theory about why Mars is desolate, since it was once a thriving and advanced civilization. His theory? “Maybe Capitalism arrived there, imperialism arrived, and finished off the planet.” Yep, predatory capitalism and the free market destroyed Mars and this should be a lesson to us all. Well, one thing you have to admit about Chavez. He’s make a great Las Vegas show. Unfortunately for Venezuelans, that’s not his venue.
