HB 2371 was the Scottsdale DUI attorney’s proposal to end the highly successful first offense mandatory interlock system in Arizona. I can’t express how glad I am that this absurd bill failed to make it out of committee.
HB 2385 would have required athletic teams to remove kids from the game who might have head injuries. While I applaud the goal, this is a wildly intrusive bill which mostly means that any kid taking a hit would be pulled from the game in fear of the nanny state coming back after the fact and getting you for it. Way too invasive for my legislative tastes.
