CC--10th Commandment: What's so bad about coveting?

--It’s the only one prohibiting something that isn’t yet an act.
--This is an internal matter without an action
--However, there is a long historical discussion about whether this isn’t about the action of trying to take from someone else.
--Primarily an internal disposition, setting your heart on and nurturing your desire for forbidden things.
--It leads to all the other sins.
--Why do you steal?
--Why do you commit adultery
--Why do you commit perjury? Steal through false testimony or get your justice your way through it.
--Why do you kill? Either directly because you hate (envy, often) your neighbor or incidental to your adultery or theft. Crimes of passion, for instance.
--When your neighbor has something you want and doesn’t want to give it to you, what do you do? Well, the key is to not want those things in the first place.
