Great article in Christianity Today, called “Sin in the Double Helix,” about the implications of genetic research and the connection between traits or abilities and genes. If it turned out that immorality or the disposition toward immorality were somehow connected with our genes, that wouldn’t disprove anything Christians have ever said. It would, in fact, just be a biologically based way of saying precisely what we’ve always said. People are twisted, right down to their very core nature. We just never called it genetics. We call it original sin.
